As an artist, I am drawn to the sublime beauty of the natural world. Water, in all its forms, holds a special fascination for me. It possesses a luminosity and fluidity that lends itself perfectly to the medium of watercolor. I strive to harness the glowing and dynamic qualities of water mediums to depict landscapes, flora, and fauna in a way that evokes a sense of reverence and wonder. Each brushstroke becomes a celebration of the inherent strength and resilience found in nature.
Continuous growth and exploration of the medium have shaped my style, allowing me to convey not just the physical appearance of my subjects but also the emotions and atmosphere they evoke.
In response to the pressing environmental challenges we face today, St. Louis artist Carol Carter and I have co-founded Artists for Climate Awareness—a non-profit organization dedicated to leveraging art as a catalyst for change. Through our collective efforts, we aim to raise awareness, foster acceptance, and ignite positive action regarding climate and environmental issues. We believe that art has the unique ability to transcend boundaries and inspire empathy, urging us all to become stewards of our planet.
In each brushstroke, I strive to convey not only the beauty of the natural world but also a sense of urgency and responsibility. I hope that my artwork serves as a reminder of the profound connection we share with our environment and the need to protect and cherish it for future generations.
Below, on this page, are only a few of my older pieces.
